What the job actually is
Component level, not board swapping
Most of what arrives here has already been to somebody who replaced the obvious part. We work down to the component, because a rental house that keeps paying for whole boards is a rental house that stops calling.
Three disciplines, one workshop
Video, lighting and audio share a bench here. Nine times out of ten the same fleet has the same three problems across all of it: transport damage, heat, and units nobody tested after the last job.
You write the report
Every unit leaves with a note saying what was found and what was done. Not a tick box. The customer reads it months later when the same panel comes back, so it has to be worth reading.
Kit and training
Rework stations, a microscope, a live processor for running modules at brightness, and the manufacturer documentation that goes with the fixtures we see most. If you need a course to do the job properly, ask for it.
